I am the Good Shepherd

July 05, 2020 | Mike Avato

Passage: John 10:1-21

Jesus describes himself as the good shepherd over against the Pharisees who were the false shepherds. Jesus is the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep, while the Pharisees on the other hand, as evil shepherds, are not concerned about the sheep, and cast them out. The man born blind, was a true sheep, and had been excommunicated by the Jewish authorities! But Jesus, as the good shepherd, had sought and found him.
